Organizing Ribbons

I was checking out various scrapbooking rooms on YouTube and saw where several people who wrapped their ribbons around old-fashioned clothes pins.    Each person had a different way of storing them, some in a drawer, others in boxes.   I was shopping at WalMart and saw these great glass jars, so I picked up a few and went in search for the clothes pins.    Six stores later I found one store that carries these types of clothes pins, and here are my results.    I actually am going to go back and pick up more of these jars to seperate out the colors.

I then took the jars that I was using for my ribbons and put more prima flowers into them, I actually plan to take the majority of my scrap paper and make various size and types of paper flowers seperating them by color in these jars.

Heritage Layout

Here is a Heritage Layout that I did, I actually created the layout first, using "Hip & Luxurious Basics" by My Mind's Eye, red and black cardstock.  The black card stock is generic paper, the flowers were cut using the gypsy and my cricut, I added bling brads from the paper collection, the red card stock was actually an unused red pre-scored card that was cut down.   The title was also cut out on the cricut using my gypsy.

Then went hunting for some older pictures to use. I found two pictures that were given to my husband by his grandmother before she passed. On the left is her husband "Peter Joseph Horvath Jr." on the right is his father "Peter Joseph Horvath Sr."

My Pink Stamper Color Challenge

I made two items, a card and a purse, for My Pink Stamper's Color Challenge.

I had a few extra hello kitty from my daughter's birthday party which were cut from the Hello Kitty cart. I added one of the Hello Kitty to some scrap paper and then mounted on a green cardstock. I also added some black ribbon to the front as well.

MPS Color Challenge Card

The purse was cut from my new cart "Forever Young". I love this cart already, it reminds me so much of Barbie which brings back many memories from when I was little. I used black cardstock for the purse, green and pink cardstock for the flowers and pink cardstock for the back of the cutout on the purse. I added some green ribbon to the handle to finish it off.
