Hello Kitty Party Bags

I created 20 Party Bags for my 6 year old's birthday party. Since she loves the cricut and hello kitty so we proceeded to cut out 20 hello kitty icons together, which was actually easier then it appears I used my gypsy to put 8 icons on each 6x12 mat, then cut out a total of 24 icons. I use a zip pen to glue each peice onto the background black. After the icons were cut out and assembled, I cut the bag toppers, which was a simple coordinating paper cut into 4x4 square. I then used a MS punch to punch out the edge of one side. I scored and folded the square, then simply stapled the topper to the zip type of baggie (I used 4X6 baggie filled with fun goodies and candy). Then each Hello Kitty icon was glued (zip pen again) to the topper. The entire project took less then 2 hours, not bad for customized gift/party bags.

2010 Calendar

I just finished a 2010 wall calendar. It took me most of the day to complete but I am happy with the way it turned out. I will post a picture of the outcome as soon as I can.

Gypsy I can't wait

I hope you all saw the HSN world premier of the new PC Gypsy...I tried to order one but it was too late and they were already sold out....how sad...I am already learning what I can about the machine by watching other people's videos like pink stamper and from reading other's blogs like cutting above. Can you believe that Cutting Above is giving away 2 Gypsy machines? Wow!!!

Start of my blog

Well today is the official start of my new blog. I have decided to tell you a little about me first. I have been married to the same great guy for 19 years we have 4 great kids together Nate is 16, Amber is 14, Isaiah is 11, and Allyssa is 5. All the kids are in school this year, and so far so good.

I work full-time plus (60+ hours per week), I am an IT person by trade, working in the gaming industry. So if I don't update my blog daily you know why. But I am an artist at heart.

I love to scrapbook when I get more than 2 minutes away from my other job. I also would spend countless hours taking photos of anything from Yellowstone N.P. to the birds in the trees. I also enjoy drawing with various mediums.

Welcome to my blog...
